I'm Andrew, and I built Calm Systems around a simple idea: your business shouldn't have to work around your software. Your software should work around your business.

I've spent years working in different parts of businesses — from customer service and operations to print, design and the day-to-day processes that keep things moving. And I've noticed the same thing again and again.

Most businesses aren't short of people who care or people who work hard. They're short of systems that make the work easier. Things get written down in different places. Information gets lost. People have to remember things that a computer should be handling. The same tasks get repeated every day because nobody has had the time to stop and fix the process underneath them.

That's the part I enjoy solving.

I don't start with software

I start by understanding how your business actually works. What happens when a customer places an order? Where does that information go? Who needs to know about it? What gets written down? What gets checked? And where does something usually get missed?

Once I understand that, I can work out what should be automated, what should be simplified, and what actually needs a proper system behind it. The result isn't software for the sake of having software. It's something built around the way you work.

That's where Calm comes from

A good system shouldn't make your business feel more complicated. It should do the opposite. It should take things out of your head, reduce the chasing, make information easier to find and give everyone a clearer way of getting things done.

When the right things happen automatically and everyone knows what happens next, the business just feels different. Calmer. Simpler. More under control.

That's what I'm trying to build with Calm Systems. Not another piece of software. A better way for your business to work.

I'm based in the North East and work directly with the businesses I build for. No sales team, no layers of account managers and no off-the-shelf system that you're expected to squeeze your business into.
